School of irrigators
On April 18, 2023, the Ministry of Water Resources, the Tashkent
Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers, the National
Research University, and Agrobank jointly established the School of irrigators in
our Republic. In order to eliminate existing shortcomings and problems in the
implementation of water-saving technologies, mitigate the negative impact of
water shortages in the region, and also to more effectively use water resources
in the cultivation of agricultural crops, this school will provide knowledge on
improving the culture of water use and advanced methods of using water-saving
technologies. For this purpose, a special handbook was developed with the
involvement of experienced specialists in the field.
In the first phase, training courses will be held in 155
agricultural and irrigated districts from May to October. Registration,
recruitment and certification of participants will be fully digitalized, with
farms registering for training themselves and downloading their certificates at
the end of the course.
In agriculture today, special attention is paid to achieving high
yields, rational use of water and energy, and improving the condition of
irrigated lands. This project, implemented in collaboration with higher
educational institutions and foreign experts, serves to train farmers and
specialists in modern irrigation methods through short courses, improve their
skills, and increase production efficiency.
In the curriculum, farm managers and water managers working in the
agricultural sector, as well as water management employees, will acquire
theoretical and practical knowledge on innovative technologies currently used
in their fields, new knowledge and skills introduced into the practice of
foreign countries that are developed in the field, and will improve their
activities and achieve high productivity through the effective use of water.
To
date, more than 61,528 students from 155 districts of our Republic have
successfully completed the course.
In
these training courses, our university regularly conducts training sessions to
improve the knowledge and skills of professors and teachers in the field.
