"SUSADICA - Development of Agriculture in Central Asia" Doctoral (PhD) School Project
Project Goal: The aim of the SUSADICA program is to address the
economic, social, and environmental challenges related to the development of
agriculture in Central Asia. It focuses on 5 key areas: (1) restructuring of
farm enterprises and labor resources, (2) innovative technologies in the
agricultural sector, (3) agricultural policy, (4) rural environmental
protection, and the development of water resources. The project will involve 10
doctoral students (5 from Uzbekistan, 1 from Germany, 1 from Colombia, 1 from
Turkmenistan, and 2 from Kyrgyzstan) conducting scientific research.
Project
Objectives:
- Provide a modular and structured curriculum for doctoral students.
- Train early-stage advanced researchers.
- Conduct courses and training sessions for instructors.
- Collaborate with existing doctoral programs in Uzbekistan.
Expected
Results and Outcomes:
1. Advanced methodological scientific research on key
directions for the development of agriculture in Central Asia based on the
SUSADICA structural doctoral program.
2. Increased activity of researchers conducting
scientific work in the field of agriculture in Central Asia.
3. The doctoral school will create a platform for Central
Asian and European scientists and students to develop collaboration in the
fields of agriculture and social sciences.
4. Ensure the development of academic activities for
Central Asian researchers.
5. This school will serve as a model of high academic
standards, international cooperation, and academic research for other
universities and disciplines.

University Halle-Wittenberg, Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural
Mechanization Engineers (TIIAME).
