What is an Answer Sheet?

An answer sheet is the primary document for marking a candidate's chosen answer for each question in the test booklet. It serves as the basis for evaluating the candidate's knowledge.

What is a Test Booklet?

A test booklet is a collection of test questions in specified subjects.

When and how many shifts are the test exams conducted? What are the starting times?

The test exams are held each year from August 1 to August 15, typically in two daily shifts: the first shift begins at 8:00 AM and the second at 3:00 PM.

How does a candidate know the date and time of their test exam?

Candidates participate in the test exams on the date and time indicated on their admission permit. This date and time are fixed for each candidate, who cannot participate on any other day or time. Candidates can also check their test date and time on the official website of the State Testing Center.

If a candidate is late for the test exam, can they be assigned a new date or time?

Candidates must participate in the test exams on the exact date and time specified on their admission permit. No alternative date or time will be provided.

On what basis are the test questions prepared for candidates?

Test questions are designed according to the curricula of general secondary and secondary specialized vocational education subjects.

How many subjects are included in a test booklet?

Candidates will take a test in one, two, or three subjects depending on their chosen field of study.

How many questions are in each subject in the test booklet?

Each subject in the test booklet contains 30 test questions.

How much time is allocated for completing the test questions?

For completing test questions (including filling in the answer sheet), candidates have 1 hour for 30 questions, 2 hours for 60 questions, and 3 hours for 90 questions.

When and how are the test results announced?

The results of the test exams, indicating whether the candidate has been recommended for admission or not, are announced on the State Testing Center’s official website the day after the test and are delivered to higher education institutions.

Where are the test exams conducted?

The test exams are held in the pavilions of the National Exhibition Complex “Uzexpocenter” in Tashkent and its additional temporary pavilions, as well as in other large-capacity buildings in the city. In the regions, the exams are conducted in large-capacity buildings of Olympic reserve colleges or similar institutions.

Are there benefits for candidates with a language proficiency certificate (B2 or higher) issued by the State Testing Center?

Candidates who possess a state-recognized certificate of language proficiency (B2 or higher) are awarded the maximum score for the foreign language subject included in the test subjects for their chosen field. They are exempt from taking the foreign language test.

In what cases can a candidate be disqualified from the test exam process?

Candidates may be disqualified if they attempt to bring or use unauthorized items (calculators, dictionaries, tables, books, mobile phones, computers, telecommunications devices, or notes) into the test area; if they pass materials to other candidates; if they remove test materials from the exam hall; if they tear test booklet pages; if they refuse to submit test materials after the allotted time; or if they are observed violating rules on surveillance cameras.

What is the procedure for submitting an appeal if a candidate is dissatisfied with the test results?

Candidates dissatisfied with their test results may submit an appeal to the Appeals Commission approved by the State Commission for Admission to Educational Institutions of Uzbekistan from August 20 to August 30. The appeal can be filed in writing or electronically within the specified period (11 calendar days, excluding weekends), in accordance with the Regulation in Annex 1 of the Cabinet of Ministers’ Resolution No. 261, dated April 3, 2018. Candidates receive notification of acceptance of their appeal within three working days. Appeals are accepted at the State Testing Center and its branches in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the regions.
