On February 25, 2023, B. Erkinov, the Dean of the Correspondence Department, and Z. Khaidarov, the Head of the Department of Youth, Spirituality, and Education, visited Comprehensive School No. 13 in Nurafshan, Tashkent Region. During this visit, a motivational event was organized, where students received comprehensive information about undergraduate programs and master's specialties. Additionally, a video showcasing university life was presented to the students.


During the event, B. Erkinov and Z. Khaidarov addressed all the students' questions. At the conclusion of the event, they presented the students with books.

According to the decree issued by the Head of State on November 6, 2021, titled “On Measures to Develop the Field of Education and Science in the Period of New Development of Uzbekistan,” significant reforms are being implemented to elevate the education sector to a new level. Under the leadership of the "Land Management and Cadastre" Faculty of the National Research University "TIIAME" and in collaboration with the Department of Public Education of Piskent District, efforts are being made to enhance the quality of education and the professional skills of teachers at Secondary School N. 35. A Road Map has been developed to outline the joint activities. This approved roadmap underscores the importance of cooperation in fostering relationships between schools and higher education institutions, thereby strengthening integration between them.


It is widely recognized that the government is currently focusing particular attention on teachers and students in secondary schools. Strengthening the position of educators in society, identifying talented students, and guiding them toward their desired professions has become a significant priority in the field of education. On March 10, 2023, the professors and teachers from the "Land Management and Cadastre" Faculty visited School No. 35 in the Piskent district of the Tashkent region. A round-table discussion was organized with the 11th-grade students, which proved to be very constructive.

Collaboration with NGOs on constitutional reforms

On March 26, 2023, in Kattakorgan, Samarkand region, Professor Zukhra Karabaevna Ismailova, a Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences and member of the "Marifat" Society of Propagandists, met with representatives of the Republican movement "Okila Ayollar" ("Smart Women"). The gathering included women activists from the region's mahallas, propagandists of spiritual and educational work, representatives from the "Buvijon" (“Grandmother”) school, as well as women entrepreneurs and officials from various sectors. The discussion focused on the topic "The Main Goal of Constitutional Reforms."


The draft Constitutional Law introduces 27 new articles to the current Constitution. The ongoing constitutional reforms in the country are founded on the noble principle of enhancing human dignity. Uzbekistan is committed to prioritizing the interests of its citizens in the implementation of these constitutional reforms.

Environmental education for schoolchildren

A third-year student at the Faculty of Hydromelioration, Khushnudbek Shamsiddinov, a member of the Hydrokeaders team, collaborated with the charitable organization World Aral Region Charity (WARC), alongside students from Secondary Comprehensive School No. 47 in the Tyurtkul district of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and local residents, to actively participate in the development of a water filtration device for drinking water and the implementation of water-saving technologies for the school garden.


Representatives from India and other participating countries conducted engaging and informative lessons for schoolchildren on environmental awareness, water conservation, and access to drinking water. Students were offered practical activities, including the creation of environmental education posters, the implementation of water-saving technologies, and the construction of drinking water filters and homemade filtration systems.

Enhancing the Qualifications of Water Workers in Karakalpakstan

On November 29, 2023, a video conference meeting chaired by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan announced a dedicated period for the concreting of canals in the water sector. During this meeting, several measures aimed at the rational use of water resources and the reduction of losses in agriculture were outlined.

At the opening of the training course, the Minister of Water Resources of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, B. Dzhuzbaev, delivered a speech. A. Suvanov, a faculty member of "TIIAME" National Research University, along with other speakers, emphasized the importance of the objectives set forth by our nation's leader and the necessity for the effective utilization of available water resources.

Approximately 350 employees from the Ministry of Water Management of the Republic of Karakalpakstan are participating in the advanced training courses, which are being held at the Karakalpak Institute of Agriculture and Agricultural Technologies. The training courses will span three days, after which participants will undergo a final certification based on the knowledge acquired. Active participants will be awarded a certificate upon completion.

 

International Symposium “Environment of the Third Pole - 2023”

From November 14-17, 2023, the first part of the symposium concluded successfully. Professor Alim Pulatov, Head of the EcoGIS Center at the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers (TIIAME) National Research University, participated in the International Symposium “Environment of the Third Pole 2023,” organized at Moscow State University. During the event, Professor Pulatov delivered lectures. Established in 2009, the international academic community focused on the environment of the Third Pole is dedicated to fostering regular international and interdisciplinary cooperation. It organizes workshops, meetings, training schools, and other events to unite scientists from various disciplines.
