JANUARY
The
Students’ Union team warmly welcomed a group of students from China who arrived
in Uzbekistan to attend language courses at Tashkent Institute of Irrigation
and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers National Research University.To make
their first days comfortable and welcoming, the Students’ Union organized an
introductory meeting aimed at helping the international students adapt to their
new academic and cultural environment. During the meeting, the representatives
of the Students’ Union introduced the visitors to the university, its history,
educational opportunities, and student life.
The Chinese students were given a guided tour around the university campus. They visited important facilities such as lecture halls, libraries, study areas, cafeterias, and other student services. During the tour, the organizers explained how the academic system works and what opportunities the university offers to international students, while also answering many questions from the visitors.In addition, the Students’ Union team supported the Chinese students in adapting to life in Tashkent. They shared useful information about public transportation, local traditions, and everyday life in the city. The guests were also introduced to several interesting places in Tashkent so they could better understand the culture and lifestyle of Uzbekistan.Such meetings play an important role in strengthening international cooperation, encouraging cultural exchange, and creating a friendly and supportive environment for students from different countries.

The
Students’ Union team also welcomed students from Kazakhstan and helped them
adapt to university life at Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural
Mechanization Engineers National Research University.Just like the Chinese
students, the Students’ Union organized a campus tour for them and introduced
them to different university facilities and student services. The students
visited lecture halls, libraries, cafeterias, and other important places on
campus. During the tour, they also learned more about the academic system,
student organizations, and opportunities available at the university.In
addition, the Students’ Union supported the Kazakh students in getting familiar
with life in Tashkent. They shared useful information about transportation,
daily life, and local culture, which helped the students feel more comfortable
in their new environment.The Students’ Union also organized student meetings
and debates where participants could express their opinions, discuss various
topics, and learn from one another. These activities helped create a friendly
atmosphere, encouraged communication between students from different countries,
and made university life more active and engaging.Through these initiatives,
the Students’ Union aims to support international students, help them feel at
home, and build a strong and united student community.

To
celebrate the New Year, the Students’ Union team organized a special New Year’s
party for students at Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural
Mechanization Engineers National Research University. The event was designed to
bring students together, celebrate the holiday, and create a joyful and festive
atmosphere at the university.
During
the party, students enjoyed music, entertainment, and various activities. It
was a great opportunity for everyone to relax, communicate with each other, and
celebrate the beginning of the new year together in a friendly environment.
For
this event, the Students’ Union also collaborated with the well-known pizza
chain Papa John’s, which supported the celebration. Thanks to this partnership,
students were able to enjoy delicious pizza during the party.
The New
Year’s celebration became a memorable event that helped bring students closer
together and made university life even more lively and enjoyable.

Tashkent
Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers National
Research University successfully hosted a Model United Nations (MUN) conference
organized by the Students’ Union team. The event brought together active and
motivated students who are interested in international relations, diplomacy,
and global issues.
During
the conference, participants took on the roles of diplomats representing
different countries. They discussed important global topics, presented the
official positions of their assigned countries, and participated in formal
debates and negotiations.Throughout the sessions, delegates worked on drafting
resolutions, proposing amendments, and discussing possible solutions to global
challenges. An important part of the conference was the diplomatic negotiation
process, where participants collaborated to reach agreements. At the final
stage, delegates voted on and signed the final resolutions, reflecting the
decisions made during the debates.The conference helped students develop
valuable skills such as public speaking, critical thinking, diplomacy,
negotiation, and teamwork. It also provided participants with a deeper
understanding of how international organizations like the United Nations
operate.Overall, the MUN conference was both educational and engaging, giving
students valuable experience and encouraging them to become more involved in
discussions about global challenges.


The
Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers
(TIIAME) celebrated its 90th anniversary on April 9, 2025. On this occasion,
the institute organized an international scientific conference titled “The
Development of Specialized Higher Education and Science in the Context of
Globalization: Challenges and Opportunities.”
The
conference brought together distinguished scholars, international experts,
researchers, and students to discuss the development of specialized higher
education and the role of science in addressing global challenges.Students of
the institute actively participated in organizing and supporting the event. As
part of the conference team, student assistants worked with international
guests and delegates, helping with reception, answering questions, guiding
participants through the venue, and ensuring a welcoming and comfortable
atmosphere throughout the event.
Working
in such an international academic environment provided students with valuable
experience in communication, event organization, and cross-cultural
cooperation. The conference also gave them the opportunity to interact with
outstanding scholars, including Nobel Laureate Henricus Balthasar Joseph
Leemans, as well as **Mustafa Prize laureates Mahdi Amin and Hossein Baharvand.
The
event became an important platform for academic exchange and collaboration,
inspiring many students to take a more active role in scientific and
international initiatives.

On June 4th, the
Students’ Union group achieved an important milestone. They officially received
a license to organize a TEDx event, which was a significant honor and
responsibility for the team. Obtaining this license required careful preparation,
organization, and adherence to the international standards of the TED platform.
For the group, this was not only an achievement but also a valuable opportunity
to create a space for sharing and discussing ideas.After obtaining the license,
the team immediately began preparing for the event. They worked on organizing
the program, inviting inspiring speakers, preparing the venue, and promoting
the event among students and guests. The goal was to create an atmosphere in
which people would feel motivated to share their experiences, ideas, and
perspectives.The theme of the TEDx event was “90 Years of Impact,” symbolizing
a long journey of achievements, development, and influence. It highlighted how
individuals, organizations, and communities can create meaningful change and
leave a lasting impact on society.During the event, several speakers shared
their stories, ideas, and experiences. They explained how small actions and
initiatives can grow into significant achievements over time. Their speeches covered
areas such as education, culture, personal development, and social
responsibility. Each presentation inspired the audience to consider how they
could contribute to society and create a positive impact.The event brought
together many students, teachers, and guests who came to listen to the
inspiring talks and exchange ideas. The atmosphere was energetic and
motivating. The audience actively engaged, asking questions and discussing
topics after the talks. For many participants, the event was not only interesting
but also a motivating experience that encouraged broader thinking and confident
action.Organizing the TEDx event provided valuable experience for the Students’
Union team. They learned to work effectively in a team, manage a large project,
and communicate with various people. It also helped them develop important
skills, including leadership, teamwork, and event planning.Overall, hosting the
TEDx event with the theme “90 Years of Impact” became a memorable and
meaningful achievement for the group. It demonstrated that when people work
together and believe in the power of ideas, they can create something truly
inspiring and impactful for society.

An IT center was
opened at the university, which became a very important and exciting event for
the entire academic community. The opening of this center marked a new stage in
the development of technological education and innovation at the university.
The IT center was created to provide students with modern opportunities to
learn digital skills, work with new technologies, and develop their ideas in
the field of information technology.
The Students'
Union team actively participated in this event and helped organize and support
the opening ceremony. They assisted in preparing the event, welcoming guests,
and making sure everything went smoothly. It was a great opportunity for them
to contribute to such an important moment in the university's development.The
opening ceremony was attended by university leaders, teachers, and many
students who were interested in technology and innovation. During the event,
guests were introduced to the facilities of the IT center, including modern
equipment, workspaces, and learning areas designed for programming, digital
projects, and technological research.
The new IT center
will give students the chance to develop practical skills in programming,
digital technologies, and innovation. It will also serve as a space where
students can collaborate, exchange ideas, and work on creative technological
projects.For the team, being part of this event was a great experience. They
were proud to support the opening of a center that will help many students grow
professionally and prepare for future careers in the technology field. It was
inspiring to see how the university continues to develop and create new
opportunities for students.

Students
and professors from Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural
Mechanization Engineers National Research University traveled to Beijing, China
to represent Uzbekistan and showcase its national culture on an international
stage. The visit was organized within the framework of initiatives proposed
during the 43rd session of UNESCO, aiming to strengthen international
cooperation and promote Uzbek cultural heritage around the world.During the
trip, the students proudly introduced guests to the traditions and values of
Uzbekistan. A special cultural event was held at Tsinghua University, where Uzbek
national art, embroidery, and traditional handicrafts were presented. Guests
also had the opportunity to taste the famous Uzbek national dish plov, which
was prepared with the support of the Uzbek embassy.The event gathered
representatives from about 30 different countries. The Uzbek delegation was
invited to perform on stage twice, which was a great honor and showed the
strong interest of the international audience in Uzbek culture.In addition to
the cultural program, meetings were held with the leadership of Tsinghua
University. During these meetings, both sides discussed opportunities for
future cooperation in areas such as environmental protection, efficient use of
water and land resources, renewable energy, student exchange programs, and the
organization of international summer schools.During their stay in Beijing, the
students also visited famous landmarks such as the Great Wall of China, the
Forbidden City, and Tiananmen Square. At some of these places, the Uzbek team
performed national folklore presentations, which attracted the attention of
many international visitors and left a strong impression on them.This visit
became a proud moment for the students, as they had the opportunity to
represent their country, share Uzbek culture with the world, and build new
international connections. It was also an inspiring experience that encouraged
students to continue promoting the traditions and values of Uzbekistan
globally.

Participate in the International Conference “Drinking Water Supply and
Wastewater Services in Central Asia”The Students’ Union team of the National Research
University “Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization
Engineers” actively participated in the international conference titled
“Drinking Water Supply and Wastewater Services in Central Asia.”The conference
brought together participants from Central Asian countries as well as experts
and specialists from European countries, China, and the Republic of Korea.
During the event, participants discussed pressing global issues related to
water resources, environmental protection, sustainable development, and
effective water resource management.Representing the university, QS Impact
Vice-President Farzona Safarova and Students’ Union Vice-President Alina
Melnikova delivered speeches highlighting the university’s ongoing initiatives
and projects in the fields of water management, ecology, and sustainability.
They also emphasized the active involvement of students in scientific research,
international cooperation, and initiatives aimed at addressing global
environmental challenges.Participation in this conference once again demonstrated
the commitment of our students to global issues and their active engagement as
initiative-driven young leaders on the international stage.

and Climate Change 2025,” which is held annually in leading
scientific centers around the world, was organized this year in Uzbekistan
under the theme “Innovative
Approaches for Sustainable Water and Environmental Management.”The
prestigious event was hosted by the National
Research University “Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural
Mechanization Engineers.” The conference served as an important
international platform for discussing pressing issues related to water
security, climate change, sustainable water resource management, and
environmental protection.
The

TIIAME NRU Seyed Mohammad Jafar Nazemosadat, Professor at Shiraz University and
Director of the Oceanic and Atmospheric Research Center, visited the university
to discuss opportunities for scientific cooperation and joint research.During
the meeting, the parties discussed exchanging research data on climate change,
water resources, and atmospheric systems, as well as organizing academic
seminars and collaborative projects. They also agreed to sign a Memorandum of
Understanding (MOU) in the near future.Founded in 1946, Shiraz University is
one of the leading universities in Iran. The visit opened new opportunities for
academic collaboration with TIIAME NRU. Members of the university’s Students’

On December 22 Students' Union and Iranian scientist Seyed Mohammad
Jafar Nazemosadat will hold an online scientific lecture.Lecture topic:
“Connection between Climate Change in Iran and Uzbekistan from the Perspective
of Surface Air Temperature and Atmospheric Circulations.” The lecture will
provide a scientific analysis of the relationship between climate change, air
temperature, and atmospheric circulations in Iran and Uzbekistan.Lecturer Seyed
Mohammad Jafar Nazemosadat, professor at Shiraz University and director of the
Oceanic and Atmospheric Research Center.
