The main tasks of the Department of Gifted Students are as follows:
- Ensuring the execution of orders, orders and assignments of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the management of the institute;
- identifying students capable of scientific creativity;
- formation of the base of talented students;
- assigning active professors and young scientists to the departments of the interests of talented students;
-coordinating the organization of scientific circles in departments and monitoring their effective operation;
- coordinating the organization and holding of science Olympiads among students;
- attracting talented students to international science Olympiads;
- preparing regular proposals for improving the material and technical base for working with talented students;
- organization of various intellectual competitions aimed at increasing the potential of talented students;
- organization of "Scientific-practical conference of young scientists, graduate students and talented students" on scientific research works of students;
- organization of seminar trainings, webinars, summer and winter schools for talented students;
- to ensure the participation of talented students in republican and international competitions with their scientific and innovative ideas;
- to make proposals to the management of the institute on material and moral stimulation of talented students;
- regularly covering the achievements of talented students in the institute and in the mass media;
