Preparatory courses
The National Research University "TIIAME"
offers preparatory courses. The courses provide students with the opportunity
to effectively prepare for admission to higher educational institutions in
Uzbekistan. Preparatory courses of the National Research
University "TIIAME" offer training in the following subjects:

The applicant has the right to choose the language of
instruction - Russian or Uzbek, as well as a convenient class time (from 15:00
to 18:00). The level and group of students may be changed depending on the
level of knowledge of students after midterm tests. In the program of
preparatory courses it is also planned to introduce activities and
specialization of areas of education at our university.

The Preparatory Courses Department offers a one-year
(9-month) program. Classes are held 3 times a week for 80-120 minutes.

Participants
in preparatory courses must comply with the following rules:

Be
courteous to all students, faculty, staff and visitors to the University;
·
Do
not talk loudly (including on the phone), do not shout, do not behave rudely
and do not run through the corridors;
·
Maintain
University property and equipment, personal property, and maintain cleanliness
on University property.
History of the Center's Establishment
Teaching foreign citizens at TIIAME National Research University began in 1956 and has a long history. The faculty for preparing foreign citizens has extensive experience because students from Asia, Africa, Latin America, the USA, and Europe have come here to study. In 1999, it was renamed the Center for Teaching Foreign Citizens.
Currently, Uzbek and Russian language courses are being conducted with foreign students from China, South Korea, Turkey, Algeria, Syria, Iran, Norway, the USA, Peru, and Saudi Arabia.
In the last years from 2013 to 2016, 21 of our graduates have entered higher education institutions in Uzbekistan and other countries.


Methodology and Education System
The center's teachers use the latest methods of teaching Russian as a Foreign Language (RFL), utilizing textbooks and teaching aids developed at the International Education Center of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov (Russia, Moscow), which include activities for oral and written speech (writing, reading, listening, speaking). The courses offer both short-term (from 1 month to 6 months) and long-term (from 1 year to 3 years) training, taking into account the students' wishes. Classes are held every day except Saturday and Sunday. Class times: from 9:30 to 12:30 and from 13:00 to 15:30.
Beginner Level
This level includes teaching students who are starting to learn the chosen language for the first time. The center aims to form potential vocabulary, correct pronunciation, spelling, reading, and basic grammar.
Upon completion, the student masters oral and written language at the everyday communication level.
Basic Level
Developing and deepening existing skills and knowledge, which includes the ability to read adapted texts, speak on a given topic, as well as write letters or compose documents. Additionally, the basic level provides the ability to perceive, quickly respond to questions, and ask them.
Advanced Level
This level is aimed at preparing for listening to lectures, participating in seminars and discussions, as well as developing the ability to express one's opinion, respond to an opponent's statement, read texts in scientific, journalistic, and artistic styles, and watch various programs and films.
Social Life
The center's program includes organizing themed evenings dedicated to various holidays and celebrations. During the learning process, students learn to communicate, make new friends, get acquainted with the history, culture, and traditions of Uzbekistan and Russia, as well as have the opportunity to try and appreciate Uzbek cuisine and visit interesting places in Tashkent.
The center's goal is to help you learn to fully communicate in Russian and Uzbek in various areas of communication, especially since the teaching process is conducted by experienced teachers!
List of Documents Required for Admission to the Center:
1. Contract with TIIAME National Research University;
2. Copy of passport;
3. Diploma of completion of school or university (if available);
4. Two photographs sized 3x4;
The cost of one month of study is $250.
