On September 9, 2026 the final stage of the Republican competition for the title of “The most talented student in the field” among international students of higher education institutions in Uzbekistan was held in the field of “Mechanics and Mathematical Modeling.” The event took place at the Alisher Navoi National Library of Uzbekistan.
Prior to the final stage of the competition, participating students and visiting professors and lecturers had the opportunity to become closely acquainted with the activities of the Alisher Navoi National Library of Uzbekistan. The guests were provided with detailed information about the library’s areas of activity, its scientific and educational opportunities, procedures for accessing available information and electronic resources, as well as its collection of rare manuscripts and other valuable scientific and educational sources.
During the introductory tour conducted by leading library staff, the students learned about opportunities for conducting scientific research, searching for the necessary literature and information resources, and making effective use of them.
According to the official program, the final stage of the competition was organized in the educational field 60530600 — “Mechanics and Mathematical Modeling.”
The participants tested their theoretical and practical knowledge. The assessment consisted of 50 tasks in total, including 25 closed-ended test questions and 25 open-ended problems. Participants were given 180 minutes to complete the tasks.
The tasks covered the following subjects:
Theoretical Mechanics
Mathematical Analysis
Algebra and Geometry
English Language — STEM + Grammar
Russian Language — STEM + Grammar
Professors and lecturers from the Department of Mechanics and Computer Modeling of “TIIAME” National Research University also participated in the event, including Associate Professor Sh.O. Khudoynazov and Senior Lecturer S.S. Khamidov.
For the students, the competition served not only as an opportunity to test their knowledge and abilities, but also as an important platform for exchanging experience with peers from different educational institutions, communicating with one another, and contributing to their professional development.
According to the results of the competition, Ogulgerak Uzakbayeva, a second-year student from Turkmenistan studying in the “Mechanics and Mathematical Modeling” educational field at “TIIAME” National Research University, took first place.
The winner will receive a “Yonalish” scholarship of USD 40 per month for five months.
A distinctive feature of this scholarship is that it is provided by the @mexanika_Uzb channel, which supports the field of mechanics. This initiative is aimed at encouraging talented young people, supporting their scientific and professional development, and providing assistance to talented students in the field of mechanics.
Competitions such as “The most talented student in the field” provide young people with an opportunity to demonstrate their theoretical knowledge through practical problems while developing their independent thinking and analytical problem-solving skills.
In particular, holding such competitions in fields such as “Mechanics and Mathematical Modeling,” which combine fundamental and applied disciplines, is highly important for identifying talented young people, encouraging them to pursue scientific research, and supporting future specialists.
Knowledge was put to the test, talent was recognized, and the winner’s further development as a young researcher was supported.
The organizers, in turn, express their sincere gratitude to the team of the Alisher Navoi National Library of Uzbekistan for their close assistance and support in ensuring the successful organization of this event.
