In order to ensure the implementation of Resolution No. PD-122 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 2, 2026, systematic efforts are being consistently carried out at “TIIAME” National Research University to further develop the dual education system.

On September 3, 2026 students majoring in “Hydropower Engineering” at the Faculty of "Hydrotechnical Construction" of the university were sent to the HPP-2 and HPP-3 sites of the Naryn Hydropower Plants Cascade in Namangan Region to undertake a six-month industrial internship as part of the construction of new hydropower facilities.

The dual education system provides students with an opportunity to consolidate the theoretical knowledge they acquire in the classroom by applying it directly in real-world production processes and integrating it with practical experience.

During their internship, students will gain first-hand experience with modern construction technologies, advanced methods for constructing hydraulic structures, and innovative engineering solutions being implemented in major investment projects. This experience will further enhance their professional knowledge and practical skills.

Such internships play an important role in strengthening the professional potential of future engineers and preparing them to become qualified and competitive specialists who meet the demands of the labor market.

The dual education system, based on the integration of education and industry, is proving to be one of the most effective mechanisms for improving the quality of higher education and preparing highly qualified professionals for the country’s hydrotechnical and energy sectors.

During the internship, students will also have the opportunity to work alongside foreign specialists from Türkiye, China, and Iran.

This will provide them with an important platform to study advanced international practices, acquire modern engineering approaches, exchange experience with foreign specialists, and further expand their professional knowledge and skills.

This initiative will help take the integration of education and industry at the university to a new level. It will also contribute to training competitive specialists equipped with modern knowledge and practical experience for Uzbekistan’s water management, hydraulic engineering, and energy sectors.
