For ensuring the implementation of Presidential Resolution No. PD-122, "On Measures to Further Improve the System of Training Engineers for the Agriculture and Water Management Sectors," the first meeting of the Academic Council of the "TIIAME" National Research University was held.

For ensuring the implementation of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PD-122, dated April 2, 2026, "On Measures to Further Improve the System of Training Engineers for the Agriculture and Water Management Sectors," the first meeting of the Academic Council of the "TIIAME" National Research University was held.
The meeting was chaired by the Rector of the University and Chairman of the Academic Council, Bakhadir Mirzaev. It was attended by the First Deputy Minister of Water Resources, representatives of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, alumni professors currently working at foreign universities, as well as representatives of research centers, international financial institutions, major industrial enterprises, and members of the University's Academic Council.
During the meeting, the Regulations and Work Plan of the University's Academic Council were approved. Participants also discussed the University's Development Strategy through 2030 and the priority tasks aimed at positioning the University among the Top 300 universities in the world.
Another important agenda item was the adoption of a decision to establish nine named special scholarships, beginning with the 2026–2027 academic year, to support talented and proactive students who demonstrate outstanding achievements in education, science, innovation, and community service.
The following special scholarships were established:
The Abdulla Oripov Special Scholarship (named after the Hero of Uzbekistan) – for undergraduate and master's students across all faculties;
The Professor Uktam Umurzakov Special Scholarship – for students of the Faculty of Economics;
The Professor Saidrakhmon Mirzaev Special Scholarship – for students of the Faculty of Ecology and Law;
The Professor Salim Polatov Special Scholarship – for students of the Faculty of Agricultural Mechanization;
The Professor Abdurakhmon Rajabov Special Scholarship – for students of the Faculty of Energy;
The Professor Aleksandr Rachinskiy Special Scholarship – for master's students;
The Professor Abdulla Abdurazzoqov Special Scholarship – for students of the Faculty of Land Resources and Cadastre;
The Professor Farid Rahimbaev Special Scholarship – for students of the Faculty of Hydromelioration;
The Professor Elchi Fayzibaev Special Scholarship – for students of the Faculty of Hydraulic Engineering Construction.
At the conclusion of the meeting, responsible officials were assigned specific tasks to ensure the implementation of the adopted decisions and the effective execution of the priorities set forth by the Academic Council.
