An important meeting dedicated to introducing innovative technologies into the water management sector and expanding international cooperation was held at the “TIIAME” National Research University. The event was attended by the university administration as well as representatives of leading global technology companies.

The negotiations were attended by Peter Pelisaar, Regional Representative of the prestigious Australian company “Rubicon Water,” and Maksim Sidorov, Head of the Representative Office of “Inverson Technologies” SA in Uzbekistan. At the conclusion of the meeting, a trilateral memorandum strengthening strategic partnership between the parties was signed.

Within the framework of this agreement:

— talented students and young researchers of the university will be involved in projects implemented by “Rubicon Water”;

— intelligent water resource management systems will be introduced at the educational-experimental farm, creating opportunities to conduct research in an online mode;

— laboratories will be equipped with modern equipment and high-tech devices.

During the meeting, the Rector of the University introduced the guests to the reforms being implemented in the fields of education and science. In particular, special attention is being paid to closely integrating students’ theoretical knowledge with practical experience within the framework of the implementation of Resolution No. PD-122 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 2, 2026.

As noted, students will be provided with 6-month long-term internships, giving them opportunities not only within Uzbekistan but also at “Rubicon” company production facilities in Australia and China to improve their professional qualifications.

In his speech, Mr. Peter Pelisaar shared information about the company’s successful experiences in Kazakhstan as well as promising projects currently being implemented in Uzbekistan.

This cooperation is of great importance for the digitalization of water resource management, the introduction of modern solutions in the sector, and the preparation of competitive specialists who meet international standards.
