Students participate in the largest Green Project in Samarkand
19.05.2026
Systematic efforts are consistently continuing to implement Resolution No. PD-122 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 2, 2026, within the framework of the largest green project in Samarkand, as well as to strengthen students’ professional knowledge and skills through real industrial practice and ensure the integration of theory and practice.
Third-year students majoring in “Electric Power Engineering” at the Faculty of Energy of the "Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers" National Research University, under the supervision of internship mentor G‘anisher Mustofoyev, are participating in one of the major energy driver projects of our republic. Our students are actively involved in the construction processes of the 500/220 kV substation by ABREST Energy Engineers at the “Sazagan Solar 1” and “Sazagan Solar 2” solar photovoltaic power plants in the Samarkand region, which are being built by the Saudi Arabian company ACWA Power with a total capacity of 1000 MW.
This industrial internship serves not only as an opportunity for our students to observe textbook knowledge in a real-world environment, but also as an important foundation for them to become highly qualified and competitive specialists who will contribute to the energy independence and green economy transition strategy of the “New Uzbekistan.”
