The city stage of the volleyball competition of the “New Uzbekistan Students’ Olympiad” was held on May 2–4 at the sports complex of Tashkent State Medical University.
The women’s team “Irrigator” of the “Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers” National Research University achieved a remarkable victory, defeating the team of University of Oriental Studies in the final match and securing an honorable 1st place.
With this result, the team earned a ticket to participate in the Republican final stage of the competition.
Today, the university rector, Professor Bakhadir Mirzaev, met with the winning team and congratulated them on their achievement. During the meeting, an open dialogue was held, where the athletes shared their impressions of the competition, their preparation process, and future plans.
