Pre-IELTS Preparation Course successfully was completed at the “TIIAME” National Research University

From November 2025 to April 2026, the Pre-IELTS Preparation Course was successfully implemented at the Faculty of Economics of the “Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers” – National Research University.
The course was organized and delivered within the framework of the “Professional Development Centre”, established in cooperation with the British Council, and conducted by Associate Professor Guzal Eshchanova. The classes were held in Room 226, Building B.
The main objective of the course was to support the first-year students of the Faculty of Economics, primarily students from Turkmenistan, to increase their interest in English language learning and to develop essential language skills required for IELTS exam preparation.
During the course, students improved their skills in Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking. Modern digital learning resources such as the British Council LearnEnglish platform and PRE-IELTS Online Tests platform were effectively integrated into the teaching process.
To assess students’ progress, a pre-test at the beginning and a post-test at the end of the course were conducted. Based on the results, students’ improvement was analyzed, and their preparation levels corresponding to A2, B1, and B2 were identified.
At the end of the course, a total of 45 students were awarded certificates. The certificate awarding ceremony was attended by Mr. Amirsaid Sadikov, representative of the British Council, and Dilrabo Muqimova, Head of the Department of Professional Education.
The course contributed significantly to the development of students’ language skills and their alignment with international standards.
In today’s globalized world, foreign language learning has become a key requirement, and students’ interest in this area continues to grow. The Pre-IELTS Preparation Course serves as an important stage in effectively preparing students for the IELTS examination and enhancing their future academic and professional opportunities at the international level.
