Information on the implementation of the approved “Roadmap” for Surkhandaryo region

In accordance with the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 122, and based on the approved “Roadmap” for the Surkhandaryo region, this information provides details on the work carried out in the field of agricultural water management, including scientific research, experimental design work, and the development of scientific recommendations.

Meetings were held within the framework of implementing the tasks defined in the “Roadmap” with the participation of Professor R. Ergashev, scientific advisor to the Governor of Surxondaryo region on agricultural and water management issues from the “Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers” National Research University, as well as specialists assigned in accordance with the relevant decree.

At a meeting of the Academic Council of the Termez State University of Engineering and Agro-Technologies, Professor R. Ergashev provided information on the implementation of the tasks set out in Presidential Decree No. 122. He noted that, in accordance with Annex 1 of the letter of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation dated March 12, 2026, No. 02/09-1494, leading professors and lecturers from higher education institutions in the Surkhandaryo region have been assigned to collaborate in fulfilling the tasks of the “Roadmap.”

The Rector of the university, R. Turaev, stated that the involvement of university professors allows for the effective use of their scientific and practical experience in carrying out joint research activities aimed at fulfilling the tasks outlined in the decree. He also emphasized that university researchers should effectively utilize opportunities to implement their scientific developments and technical solutions into production.

In this regard, he expressed confidence that the professors and lecturers assigned from the university, in accordance with the above-mentioned letter of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation dated March 12, 2026 (No. 02/09-1494), will fully utilize their potential to justify the high level of trust placed in them.
