New Stages of Cooperation – Visit of Representatives of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University

At the invitation of the Department of “Mechanization of Hydromeliorative Works” of the Faculty of Hydromelioration, representatives of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University of the Russian Federation visited our university. The delegation included Ekaterina Anatolyevna Belyayevskaya, Head of the Department for International Inter-Institutional Cooperation, and Dmitriy Georgiyevich Plotnikov, Associate Professor of the Higher School of Transport.
A roundtable discussion was organized at the university, attended by Sherzod Kosimovich Rakhmonov, Head of the International Cooperation Department; Javlonbek Kurbanbayevich Ishchanov, Dean of the Faculty of Hydromelioration; and Begmat Kholmatovich Norov, Head of the Department.
At the beginning of the meeting, the guests were given a brief overview of our university. The visiting representatives highly appreciated the reforms carried out at our university in recent years, its position in the international arena, and the prospects for mutual cooperation. They also provided brief information about Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University and opportunities for international inter-institutional collaboration.
The current state of inter-university cooperation and the achieved results were analyzed. Future directions and plans for collaboration were discussed, including joint scientific research in areas such as hydraulic engineering construction, hydropower, robotics, unmanned aerial vehicles, renewable energy sources, materials science, mechanical engineering, and other fields. Tasks were also outlined regarding academic mobility, internships for professors and teachers, their retraining, and involving faculty members in the educational process.
The round-table discussion was engaging and productive.
