Monitoring Process: Visit of the Keimyung College University Delegation to our University within the LUPIC Project

On April 24, 2026 representatives of Keimyung College University of South Korea, Professor Lee Sungha and Kim Yelim, visited the “TIIAME” National Research University. The visit was carried out as part of the monitoring process within the international LUPIC (Leading Universities Program for International Cooperation) project.

During the monitoring, the guests became acquainted with the two-story building allocated for the Vocational Education Program, as well as the activities of the DEISC (Digital Education Innovation Support Centre). In addition, the condition of the Mechatronics technical school and laboratories, along with ongoing renovation and modernization works, were also reviewed.

Within the monitoring process, the activities under the “Capacity Building Project” were presented. This project is financed by the ODA grant of the Government of South Korea, with a total budget of 1.666 billion KRW (2024–2029), of which 400 million KRW has been allocated for 2025–2026.

The following achievements were noted within the project:

Computer equipment and facilities worth 157,500,000 KRW were delivered from South Korea and put into operation for the Mechatronics technicum and DEISC center. International training and professional development courses are being organized. Under the GSK scholarship program, two master’s students of the university were accepted for a six-month internship at Keimyung College University. Ten textbooks in the fields of Mechatronics and DEISC were jointly published by Korea–Uzbekistan cooperation. Scopus-indexed and other international scientific articles have been co-authored and published. Conferences and forums are being held on a regular basis. Within the Global Students Technical Program, an international event was organized in Samarkand in December of this year, involving 25 students from both our university and Keimyung College University.

During the monitoring, Associate Professor Guzal Eshchanova provided the delegation with detailed information about the activities implemented within the project, the renovation process of the building, as well as the installation and commissioning of equipment and computers delivered from Korea by specialists.

At the end of the visit, the Korean experts positively evaluated the results achieved within the project and shared their opinions and suggestions regarding the further development of cooperation.
