As part of the implementation of the “Roadmap” aimed at measures being carried out in the water management sector and the development of scientific solutions, study activities were conducted in the Jizzakh region.
Professor A. Yangiev of the “TIIAME” National Research University, who serves as a scientific advisor on agricultural and water management issues in Jizzakh region, together with B. Sharofov, Chief Specialist of the Ministry of Water Resources, carried out a field study of the irrigation network concreting works in the territories of farms operated by Q. Rakhimov and M. Dadajonov in Dustlik district. The irrigation networks, with a total length of 15 kilometers, were examined on-site. During the study, the quality indicators of the concreting process were analyzed, and relevant scientific and practical recommendations were provided to further improve the work.
In addition, a pilot project based on sprinkler irrigation technology, implemented on 40 hectares in Dustlik district as part of the introduction of a smart water management system, was reviewed. It was noted that the water intake facilities within this project are equipped with smart water metering devices, which are integrated into the ministry’s unified information database and operate in real time.

Furthermore, the activities of the production base of “Great Agrotex” LLC, owned by Chinese investors and operating in Arnasoy district, were studied. This enterprise has established the production of complete equipment required for drip irrigation systems, and it was emphasized that advanced foreign practices are being applied in the production process. At the same time, the center has also implemented a system for the repair and efficient use of agricultural machinery.
At the studied sites, agreements were reached to develop a dual education system. This includes organizing internship opportunities and accommodation conditions for students in the fields of “Water Management and Melioration,” “Hydrotechnical Construction,” and “Mechanization of Agriculture.”
