Water conservation -a pressing task

At the initiative of the “Maroqand-Sifati” cluster, a one-day practical seminar was organized with the participation of heads of organizations under the Zarafshan Basin Irrigation Systems Administration.
The seminar was attended by Deputy Minister of Water Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan Rustam Qarshiyev and Ilkhom Ruziev, Head of the “Hydrology and Hydrogeology” Department of the “TIIAME” National Research University and scientific advisor to the Governor of Samarkand region. They emphasized the ongoing reforms in the sector, the rational use of water resources, and the importance of introducing modern technologies.
As part of the seminar, participants first visited the “Oytola” farm, where the use of geo-composite LK-80 flumes was demonstrated.
This innovative solution is significant as it allows for water conservation and ensures fast and efficient delivery of water to designated locations.
