The pilgrimage trip to the Shohi Zinda complex, organized for professors, staff, and students of "TIIAME" National Research University, left not only a spiritual but also a profound historical impression. This sacred place is one of the most unique monuments of ancient Samarkand, with a history that dates back many centuries.

According to legends, the name of the complex means “Living King,” and it is associated with the burial place of Qusam ibn Abbas, a cousin of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). For this reason, the site has long been revered as a place of pilgrimage.

The mausoleums within the complex, adorned with colorful glazed tiles, embody the rich architectural traditions of the Amir Temur and Timurid period.

During the visit, participants not only observed the historical monuments but also gained a deeper understanding of the rich spiritual heritage, national values, and culture left by our ancestors. In particular, the narrow streets of the complex carry the breath of antiquity, and every dome and portal reflects the living traces of history.

Such educational trips serve to strengthen young people’s love for their homeland, respect for history, and awareness of national identity. The visit to Shohi Zinda became an unforgettable experience for participants, leaving a lasting impression and serving as a source of spiritual enrichment and inspiration.
