#International cooperation

On April 8, 2026 five Master students majoring in “Electric Power Engineering” from the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University of the Republic of Kazakhstan visited the "Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers" National Research University as part of an academic exchange program.

This visit is a practical result of the joint educational program established between the two higher education institutions and is aimed at strengthening scientific cooperation among students, as well as facilitating the exchange of modern knowledge and skills.

On the first day of the visit, the foreign Master students were closely introduced to the university’s scientific and educational infrastructure. In particular, they had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with research activities, innovative developments, and technological processes carried out in modern scientific and educational laboratories.

They were also provided with detailed information about startup projects being implemented in the university’s technopark, innovative devices created by young scientists, and the commercialization processes of these developments. The activities of the modern library, its electronic resources, scientific databases, and access to international platforms also generated great interest among the students.

In the second half of the day, faculty members of the Department of “Power Supply and Renewable Energy Sources” organized practical training sessions. In particular, senior lecturer A. Davirov conducted laboratory classes on the subject of “Relay Protection and Automation.”

During these sessions, the master’s students gained practical knowledge about protective devices used in modern electrical systems, automatic control systems, relay operating principles, and mechanisms for protecting systems in emergency situations.

The laboratory sessions were conducted interactively, with special emphasis placed on reinforcing students’ knowledge and developing their practical skills.

This visit within the framework of the academic exchange program provides students not only with the opportunity to enrich their theoretical knowledge but also to study international experience, master new scientific approaches, and build an important foundation for their future research activities.

Such visits also play a significant role in further strengthening cooperation between the two universities, expanding joint scientific projects, and improving the quality of education to international standards.

At present, within the framework of the joint educational program, classes for foreign master’s students are being conducted by the department’s faculty members.
