The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Turkmenistan to Uzbekistan, Shadurdi Meredov, along with Embassy Attaché Serdar Atanepesov, visited the "TIIAME" National Research University.

During the meeting held as part of the visit, issues related to the friendly and mutually beneficial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan were discussed. The ambassador expressed gratitude for the conditions created and the attention given to Turkmen students studying at the university. It was also noted that the fact that Turkmen youth are choosing this university indicates its growing international prestige.
During the meeting, the active participation of Turkmen students in cultural events organized by the embassy was highly praised. In addition, a proposal was made to hold a roundtable discussion at the university on May 20–25, 2026 in connection with Turkmenistan’s Neutrality Day celebration.
During the dialogue, issues of student internships and mutual exchange of experience with the Turkmen Agricultural University were also considered. University Rector Professor Bakhadir Mirzaev provided information on the work being carried out in the field of water diplomacy, including grant opportunities allocated in this area.
This visit will contribute to further strengthening educational, scientific, and cultural ties and to elevating cooperation between the two brotherly nations to a new level.
