Spring spirit and the freshness of friendship: an unforgettable meeting of DEISC members during Navruz

On March 22, 2026 a group of female students from Turkmenistan studying in the “English Philology” program at the Faculty of Economics of the "Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers" National Research University took an active part in Navruz celebrations. They participated as official members of the Digital Education & Innovation Support Centre (DEISC) within the framework of the LUPIC (Korea–Uzbekistan) international project.
This visit was organized on the initiative of Guzal Eshchanova, Associate Professor of the English Language Department and a member of the LUPIC (Leading Universities Program for International Cooperation) project.
During the holiday, the students visited the National Park in Tashkent, where they organized a picnic in nature. The arrival of spring, warm weather, and the festive atmosphere of Navruz gave them unforgettable impressions. This visit was especially meaningful as it marked the first Navruz celebration in Uzbekistan for the Turkmen students.
Throughout the festivities, the students participated in Navruz concerts, sang songs, danced, and explored various national traditions. This experience helped strengthen intercultural friendship and mutual respect.
They also visited Seoul Town in Tashkent, where they explored Korean culture. In addition, they visited modern venues such as Magic City and Next shopping complexes, discovering the city’s modern opportunities.
The students also visited the Peoples’ Friendship Monument, symbolizing unity, friendship, and international cooperation, where they took memorable photos.
This visit was not only a festive recreation, but also a valuable opportunity to deepen their understanding of international friendship, cultural exchange, and cooperation. The journey, filled with the spirit of Navruz, left bright and warm memories in their hearts.
