Today, an important meeting was held at the “TIIAME” National Research University with representatives of the world’s leading technology companies specializing in water resources management.
The meeting was attended by Peter Pelisaar, the regional representative of the reputable Australian company “Rubicon Water”, and Maksim Sidorov, Head of the Uzbekistan Representative Office of “Inverson Technologies” SA.
While warmly welcoming the guests, the university rector highlighted the scientific research being carried out at the university, the ongoing reforms in the educational process, and the strong potential of highly qualified specialists being trained for the sector.
The rector also proposed organizing student internships at Rubicon facilities, installing Rubicon’s intelligent water management technologies at the university’s training and experimental farm, and establishing joint laboratories at the university.
Mr. Peter Pelisaar provided information about the company’s successful projects in Kazakhstan, as well as promising initiatives being implemented in the Mirishkor Canal in Kashkadarya region and in the Fergana Valley.
At the end of the meeting, preliminary agreements were reached in the following areas:
— Involving talented university students and young specialists in Rubicon Water projects across Uzbekistan and strengthening integration with industry;
— Organizing professional internships for students in Australia at facilities where Rubicon technologies have been implemented;
— Introducing Rubicon’s intelligent water resource management technologies at the university’s training and experimental farm, enabling real-time scientific research;
— Further strengthening the material and technical base by equipping laboratory buildings with modern equipment and devices.
Javlonbek Ishchanov, Dean of the Hydromelioration Faculty, was appointed as the person responsible for this project.
This cooperation will contribute to the efficient management of water resources, the implementation of innovative technologies, and the advancement of practice-oriented education to a new level.
