It is known, when the spring season arrives in our country, festive events begin. In this connection, on March 2, 2026 the event entitled “Mother - a sacred symbol”, dedicated to International Women’s Day, was organized at "Hydromelioration" Faculty of the "Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers" National Research University.

Muqaddas Abdusamatova- member of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan and the Journalists’ Union of Uzbekistan, recipient of the “Dostlik” (Friendship) Order, winner of the “Golden Pen” award, and member of the Council of Elders of the “Lashkarbegi” Mahalla Citizens’ Assembly.
Markhamat Irgasheva – recipient of the “Dostlik” Order and member of Mirzo Ulugbek District Council of Elders.
Nasiba Abdulaeva - recipient of the 2nd Degree “Labor Veteran” medal and Chairperson of the Community Council of the “Buvijonlar School” of Mirzo Ulugbek District.
Zulfiya Masharipovna - educator, Chairperson of the Council of Elders of the “Lashkarbegi” Mahalla Citizens’ Assembly, and member of the District Council.
The event was ceremonially opened by the Dean of the Faculty, J. Ishchanov. The Rector’s Advisor on Women’s Affairs at the University, U. Ravshanovna, along with the invited guests, emphasized that International Women’s Day is a global celebration dedicated to the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women, and that March 8 is widely celebrated around the world as one of the most cherished holidays.
Such events strengthen students’ respect and appreciation for their homeland and for women, while further fostering a sense of national pride and patriotism.
