Independence -a great and precious blessing

On January 26, 2026 a grand ceremonial event was held at the Hyatt Regency Tashkent Hotel by the Embassy of the Republic of India in Uzbekistan in celebration of the 77th anniversary of Republic Day of India. The event was attended by ambassadors of all embassies operating in the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the Minister of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shermatov Sherzod Khotamovich.
At the invitation of Ms. Smita Pant, Ambassador of India to Uzbekistan, Rano Kodirova, a lecturer of the Department of Uzbek Language and Literature, also took part in the event. She enjoyed the unique and beautiful Indian dances, lively steps, rhythmic movements, and music. She noted that the event was a vivid expression of the cultures of the two nations and emphasized that she returned with bright and unforgettable impressions.
