National costumes embody the centuries-old traditions of our people
29.11.2025
On November 28, 2025 female students of “Economics” Faculty held an open round-table discussion, dedicated to the announcement of every Friday as “National Costume Day.” The event aimed to widely promote national costumes and to strengthen young people’s respect and love for national identity and cultural values.
As you know, every Friday has been designated as “National Costume Day.”
This initiative is intended to further promote our national values, preserve our traditions, and reinforce the place of our national attire in everyday life.
Within the framework of this initiative, professors, teachers, and female students of “Economics” Faculty actively participated and came to the University wearing Uzbek national clothing.
Their garments, made from traditional fabrics such as atlas and adras, not only displayed aesthetic beauty but also reflected the rich cultural heritage of our people, bringing a special atmosphere to the work environment.
“National Costume Day” serves not only to highlight outward appearance but also to foster national identity, respect for Uzbek values, and the transmission of our great ancestors’ heritage to the younger generation.
