He delivered a seminar on the topic: “Understanding regional identity in Tourism: Insights from American university life.”
During the seminar, students learned about:
– The concept of regional or territorial identity in tourism
– How cultural, historical, and social characteristics of regions influence the tourist experience, with examples
– How regional identity manifests itself through American university life
– The ways student life, university culture, and traditions influence tourism
– How the academic environment itself can serve as a type of “tourism product”
– Information on how to win grants such as FLEX, UGRAD, ERASMUS and others
The online session was noted by students to be highly interesting and beneficial, and they emphasized the importance of holding more classes in this format.
