Within the framework of the Erasmus+ “GDCAU” project, D. Shavqidinova, who recently completed a professional training program at the Slovak Agricultural Institute in Nitra, conducted a training session and delivered a lecture for the faculty members of the “Tourism and Management” Department on November 20.
During the session, she presented the topic “Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Their Implementation in Education” and briefly explained that the SDGs represent global goals aimed at improving human well-being, protecting the environment, promoting social equality, and ensuring long-term economic stability.
The lecture highlighted the role of education in achieving these goals, the importance of fostering ecological and social responsibility among students, and ways to integrate themes such as ecology, climate change, resource efficiency, and inclusiveness into the teaching process.
The meeting also included discussions with faculty members on incorporating SDG-related topics into relevant subjects, organizing practical student projects, and exploring available opportunities.
