Cooperation with the National University of Singapore

On October 15, 2025 Associate Professor of the National University of Singapore, Slaven Garaj, visited the departments of “Mechanization of Hydromeliorative Works” and “Mechanics and Computer Modeling.”
During the visit, a roundtable discussion was organized with the participation of the department’s professors and teachers, doctoral students, master’s students, and talented undergraduate students.
The guest was introduced to presentations dedicated to the activities of the university and its departments. Information was provided to the faculty members, master’s, and bachelor’s students about the subjects taught, ongoing scientific and practical collaborations with international and local partners, and future plans.
In turn, Mr. Slaven Garaj shared information about the scientific research being carried out in the laboratory he leads at the National University of Singapore and the prospects for developing international cooperation.
In particular, Slaven Garaj explained to first-year students of the Hydromelioration specialty the importance of defining research goals and objectives and applying modern approaches in conducting theoretical and experimental studies, illustrating these with examples from his team’s ongoing research.
During the meeting, preliminary agreements were reached between scientists of the two educational institutions on establishing cooperation, supervising research work of master’s and doctoral students, improving the experience and qualifications of professors and teachers at the National University of Singapore, exchanging experience, and co-authoring publications in high-impact journals. Future tasks and directions of cooperation were also outlined.
