Students visit to the Central Square of Uzbekistan
10.10.2025
On October 10, 2025 the students of “Ecology and Law” Faculty, together with their tutor and active student group members, visited Mustaqillik (Independence) Square, one of the main landmarks in the capital city, Tashkent.
The large, spacious square, surrounded by lush greenery and adorned with numerous fountains, connects two historic parts of the city — the Old Town and the modern area of Tashkent. At the center of the square stands the “Monument of Independence and Humanism”, crowned with a bronze globe engraved with the map of Uzbekistan — symbolizing the recognition of the nation’s sovereignty by the world community. Beneath it stands the statue of the “Happy Mother,” depicting a joyful mother tenderly holding her child and gazing at it with affection.
This monument symbolizes peace, prosperity, confidence in a happy future, and the well-being of present and future generations. During the visit, students expressed their gratitude for the peace and tranquility of our times.
