There is a crime known as “cybercrime,” which is difficult to trace back to its owner or originator, and it continues to spread widely through social networks. This crime is rapidly manifesting itself in society in various forms, to the extent that even protection systems are struggling to cope. Considering that vigilance is a demand of the times, encouraging students to stay alert has become one of our main tasks today.

On September 15, 2025 at Dormitory N. 8 of "TIIAME" National Research University, where students of "Land Resources and Cadastre" Faculty reside, preventive inspectors together with the faculty tutor organized an awareness-raising campaign.

Students living in Dormitory No. 8, the majority of whom are Turkmen citizens, were given detailed information about this crime. They were reminded not to respond to SMS messages from unknown numbers, not to follow suspicious bot links, and never to share their bank card numbers with anyone.

We believe that this event will be especially useful for international students who are not yet familiar with the safe use of social networks.

Our awareness campaign continues through social media.
