Uzbekistan-Germany "DEMO HOUSE" Laboratory was opened

On June 17, 2025, the opening ceremony of Uzbekistan-Germany "DEMO HOUSE" laboratory was held at the “TIIAME” National Research University as part of the VEGERA project.
“DEMO HOUSE” is an innovative scientific and practical center aimed at improving energy efficiency, utilizing renewable raw materials from agroforestry, and introducing green technologies. The project will explore the potential use of low-carbon construction materials based on poplar wood, soil, straw, and agricultural waste.
The laboratory will not only conduct scientific research but also develop modern educational modules and implement them throughout the Central Asian region.
The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Otabek Mukhtarovich Makhkamov; Vice-Rector of the Tashkent University of Architecture and Construction, Rustamkhan Khadzhaev; Head of the Ecological Party Faction in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Khamzaev Abdushukur Khudoykulovich as well as international partners from the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development and others.
More than 10 international guests from Germany, China, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Japan and Turkey took part in the event.
