A six-day seminar-training has been successfully concluded as part of the five-month course “Professional English for Water Resources Management Specialists,” funded by the U.S. Department of State.

The seminar-training was conducted by Professor Quinn Shannon Donnelly from Michigan State University. Each day focused on a specific topic relevant to professional and academic development. Among the topics covered were:

  • Guidelines for participating in international conferences,

  • How to write an effective resume,

  • Common mistakes in academic writing,

  • Key considerations for publishing scientific articles.

The sessions were interactive and discussion-based, with participants actively engaging in the learning process. Upon completion of the seminar, all participants were awarded certificates.

In addition, on June 9, 2025 Professor Quinn Shannon also led a specialized training session for the faculty members of the Department of Theory and Methods of Teaching. The seminar explored in detail:

  • The U.S. system of student assessment in foreign language education,

  • Effective strategies for integrating modern information technologies into foreign language teaching.

At the conclusion of the event, Dean of the Faculty of Ecology and Law, Mr. Kh. Pirmatov, and Head of Department, Ms. G. Sabirova, expressed their sincere gratitude to Professor Donnelly. They presented her with an official letter of appreciation and memorable gifts on behalf of the university.
