Visit to the home of Abdulla Oripov

Honoring the great individuals, who have left an indelible mark on the spiritual life of our country, studying their rich scientific and creative heritage, and passing it on to future generations is one of today's most important responsibilities. In this spirit, on May 5, 2025, the faculty members and active students (Z. Khafizova, U. Mukhtorov, U. Islomov and female students) of “Land Resources and Cadastre” Faculty of “Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers” National Research University visited the home of Uzbekistan’s Hero and People’s Poet, Abdulla Oripov.
The main goal of the visit was to instill in young hearts a spirit of patriotism, love for the country, devotion to the people, and loyalty to literature, while also gaining deeper insight into the rich literary legacy of the revered poet.
During the visit, students and professors became closely acquainted with the house where the poet lived. They viewed his personal library, manuscripts, and various exhibits related to his life and career. Engaging conversations were held about Oripov’s philosophy, his creative works, and his unwavering devotion to the homeland. The poet’s family warmly welcomed the guests and shared personal stories and family memories.
As part of the event, students read excerpts from Abdulla Oripov beloved poems, which deeply moved the audience, while professors reflected on the literary and philosophical dimensions of his work.
This visit provided a powerful spiritual lesson for students and served as a meaningful experience that strengthened their love for national history and literature. Such spiritual and educational events play a crucial role in nurturing young people, instilling national pride, and fostering respect for cultural values.
