"Mock IELTS" was organized within the framework of the "IELTS Partnership Program" at "Hydrotechnical Construction"Faculty

On April 26, 2025 a Mock IELTS(paper-based) was organized for university students of “TIIAME” National Research University, “Hydrotechnical Construction” Faculty within the framework of the “IELTS Partnership Program.”
This international exam was organized by the "Professional Development Center" Faculty branch, B-Corpus, Room 226, in collaboration with the British Council, conducted by Associate Professor Guzal Eshchanova of "English Language" department. The event was initiated by the Dean of “Hydrotechnical Construction,” Faculty, PhD, Associate Professor L. Babajanov, with the goal of providing faculty students the opportunity to effectively utilize existing resources to obtain international certificates.
The event was opened by Dean, PhD, Associate Professor L. Babajanov, who emphasized to the students that the continuous efforts of the university leadership and staff have contributed significantly to the rising positions of our university in the QS and THE World University Rankings year by year. He stressed that each student should work diligently and continuously to achieve their goal of obtaining an international IELTS certificate, which would allow them to visit abroad for internships, learn foreign experiences, and contribute to the development of society.
Furthermore, he emphasized that mastering foreign languages would provide a foundation for achieving high results. He also praised the students actively participating in the Mock IELTS and acknowledged the efforts of the Dean, PhD, Associate Professor L. Babajanov in engaging high-level English learners from among the group and in preparing exam materials for the Listening, Reading, and Writing components.
Before starting the Mock IELTS, Associate Professor Guzal Eshchanova made a apresentation by providing detailed explanations of the rules that must be followed during the IELTS exam. Answers were given to the students’ questions. Additional information was also provided about the collaboration with the British Council and the benefits of taking the exams held at the university.
The Mock IELTS was mainly attended by students from the Faculty of “Hydrotechnical Construction” as well as other students from various faculties of the university. This event served as excellent motivation for all candidates who are regularly improving their English language skills.
The development of the Listening, Reading, and Writing components of the English language to fully meet IELTS international standards reflects the current demands and needs placed on young people in society.
We hope that such events will be held more frequently at our university, and that they will provide close support for candidates working to improve their foreign language skills and achieve their desired results. The results of the Mock IELTS will be announced to the participants shortly.
