National costume- Pride of the nation

The national costume is an invaluable heritage that encapsulates the history, values, traditions, and customs of our people. Our national costumes are not only colorful, elegant, and richly decorated, but each pattern on them is a reflection of our rich history, the wisdom of our ancestors, and the unique nature of our land. Our national costumes, such as atlas and adras, which delight the eye, bring good spirits with their bright colors and unique patterns, symbolize the centuries-old past of our people, ancient customs and traditions, aesthetic views, and their own distinctive features.
To strengthen the promotion of atlas and adras, instill and popularize a love for Uzbek national costumes, advocate for Uzbek standards of modesty in modern clothing, and raise awareness about the culture of Uzbek dress, a challenge under the slogan "National Costume – Pride of the Nation" was held on April 7, 2025, with the participation of female students from the Faculty of Hydromelioration.
The main goal of the event was to convey to people the fact that each nation has its own clothing culture, that our national costumes inspire admiration from representatives of any nation, no matter where they are in the world, and that we must cherish our national costumes.
