Visit of South Korean Representatives to our university under the International grant program

   On March 18, 2025 Professor Dr. Sanseog Lee from Keymyung College University, South Korea and his wife visited the "TIIAME" National Research University as part of an international grant program.

   It is known that the international project “Education Competency Enhancement Project Mechatronics Technicum at ‘TIIAME’ National Research University in Uzbekistan” (01.04.2024-31.03.2029) started its activities on April 1, 2024 under the "Leading University in International Cooperation" grant program.

  The coordinator of the international project in Uzbekistan is Professor Mirzaev BaKHodir Suyunovich, the rector of "TIIAME" National Research University. He met with Professor Lee Sangseo, the chief coordinator of the project in South Korea, to discuss a number of tasks and their implementation. The meeting was also attended by Professor R. Baratov and Associate Professor G. Eshchanova from our university.

  During this meeting, the textbooks published by the partners in the first year of the project, the sample curriculum, and the subjects to be taught in the first and second years of the Mechatronics Technicum were discussed in detail. Proposals regarding five textbooks planned for publication in the following year, in collaboration with professors from Keymyung College University were also thoroughly discussed.

The main two directions of the project are as follows:

  1. Establishing an International Mechatronics Technicum under university to train specialists in mechatronics and robotics based on the advanced technology and experience of Keymyung College University from South Korea. This includes equipping five laboratories with necessary equipment and developing practical skills.

  2. Creating the "Digital Education Innovation Support Centre" at the university to support the development of digital education and innovation in our country. The project will promote effective activities through various international platforms for professors, teachers, and students working in the international technicum. It will also focus on improving the income of girls and women, addressing gender equality, and solving related issues in Uzbekistan.

   During the discussion, Associate Professor Guzal Eshchanova from the "English Language" department of "TIIAME" National Research University shared the positive results achieved through the efforts of the leadership in improving educational qualifications. She also introduced specific plans under the Uzbekistan-South Korea joint project.

  Additionally, Guzal Eshchanova provided information to the participants about the "Digital Education Innovation Support Centre (DEISC)" planned to be established at our university. The center will focus on the activities of the Women’s Committee, participation in start-up projects, promoting entrepreneurship, and improving IT skills across various fields by applying South Korea's advanced experience.

  Furthermore, details were shared about the establishment of the DEISC, the receipt of necessary equipment from Keymyung College University, and the implementation of tasks required for the center by the start of the new academic year. This includes teaching Korean and English languages at the center, organizing productive leisure time for women, and other related activities. There was also an in-depth discussion on the possibilities of implementing educational reforms in Uzbekistan within the framework of this joint project.

   Our partners also visited "Professional Education" department. The head of the department, Associate Professor Dilrabo Innatovna Muqimova, discussed international cooperation between our university and South Korean representatives, exchanging experiences in the fields of Pedagogy and Psychology with Keymyung College University. Associate Professor Alisher Jumanov also participated in this meeting and shared his thoughts on strengthening cooperation between the two universities.

   Additionally, Associate Professor Dilrabo Muqimova expressed positive feedback on the "Digital Education Innovation Support Centre" initiative, which is planned to be opened at our university in the framework of the international grant. She discussed the reforms implemented in our country for the development of digital education and innovation, the application of South Korea's international platforms in the digitization of the education process, and the involvement of girls and women in the activities of the center. She also offered specific proposals and recommendations for close collaboration with Keymyung College University. Interesting discussions were held with Prof. Dr. Sanseog Lee regarding closer cooperation with "Professional Education" department. The guests also had the opportunity to meet Professor of the department Zukhra Karabayevna and discuss the issues related to women in both countries in more detail.

   We hope that the collaboration under this international project will support young people wishing to pursue education  as well as professors and teachers seeking to enhance their knowledge and experience in the subject matter of the project.
