The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, delivered a speech at the solemn ceremony dedicated to the nationwide holiday of Navruz.
The President emphasized that this year, Navruz falls during the blessed month of Ramadan, in harmony with its sacred values, which gives the holiday a special, even deeper meaning. Navruz is a great celebration that, throughout the three-thousand-year history of our statehood, occupies a special place due to its unique spiritual significance.
The head of state called Navruz a true miracle, noting that over the centuries, during the most difficult and challenging periods of trials, our people have managed to carefully preserve the unique values of this noble holiday.
It is no coincidence that Abu Rayhan Beruni defined Navruz as "a sacred holiday symbolizing humanity's desire to live in harmony with nature."
During Navruz, the harmony between humans and nature, their creative potential and energy, as well as such noble qualities as generosity, kindness, and mercy, are especially manifested.
With the arrival of Navruz, our farmers, who care for the abundance in the homes of their fellow citizens, lovingly cultivate the fields, tirelessly working to grow a rich harvest.
The profound life meaning is embedded in the wise words of our great ancestor, Mir Alisher Navoi, that by sowing the fields, they create the foundation of prosperity and well-being for the people.
Undoubtedly, this high creative spirit resonates with the essence of the large-scale reforms and dynamic transformations being carried out in the New Uzbekistan. As part of the nationwide project "Yashil Makon" (Green Space), a new ecological environment is being created in the country.
Navruz is the holiday of youth and energy. "We all see how our youth, entering life with great hopes, becomes a powerful avant-garde force of the New Uzbekistan," the President noted. It was emphasized that it is a joyful event that the confident and decisive actions of our talented, goal-oriented young men and women are receiving recognition around the world.
Additionally, there was highlighted the enthusiasm of our young athletes, who have raised the flag of our country at prestigious international competitions, as well as the younger generation setting examples in other fields.
