Corruption – an obstacle to development

On March 12, 2025 a discussion on the topic "Fighting Corruption" was held with the first-year students of "Hydrotechnical Construction" faculty at "Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers" National Research University. The aim of the discussion was to increase legal literacy among students, explain the importance of the fight against corruption, raise awareness about corruption cases, and discuss measures to combat it. The conversation was led by A.U. Gapparov, Head of the "Compliance Control" Department for the fight against corruption.
During the event, A.U. Gapparov provided information about the key aspects of the anti-corruption strategy and shared details of the expanded meeting held on March 5, 2025, chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, which focused on the effectiveness of efforts to prevent corruption and the priority tasks for the future.
All students actively participated in the event. The conversation was conducted in a question-and-answer and debate format. As a result of the discussion, students proposed new initiatives to fight corruption and gained important insights into honesty and responsibility.
