National Identity in Traditional Clothing

On February 21, 2025 under the leadership of Rano Kodirova, the Chair of the Women’s Issues Council at the Faculty of Economics, the "National Identity in Traditional Clothing" event took place with the slogan "In Nationality-Self-Expression." The purpose of the event was to promote national clothing and further enhance the love for national attire in the hearts of young people.
It is well known that Uzbek national clothing is bright, beautiful and comfortable, and it is an integral part of our rich cultural traditions and way of life. It is hard to imagine the wardrobe of Uzbek women without the rich fabrics of khon atlas (silk) and adras. Its unique appearance, colors, and patterns delight the eyes and bring a sense of springtime joy in any season. National clothing is not just about fabric and patterns; it is a cultural heritage that embodies the rich history, customs, and traditions of our ancestors. Through these traditions, we teach our students the taste, lifestyle, and aesthetic values of our ancestors.
