In honor of Babur
13.02.2025

To increase students interest in literature and help them memorize the ghazals and rubays by great figures, a special event was organized, dedicated to Zakkhiriddin Muhammad Babur, one of the prominent representatives of Uzbek literature, who reflected the love and longing for the homeland in his works. Babur was a poet, writer, scientist, military leader, a great statesman and the founder of "Great Baburid's Dynasty."
The event took place on February 13, 2025, at "TIIAME" National Research University, within the framework of the “Education Lesson” program with the first-year students of "Hydromelioration" faculty. The event was attended by O. Rozibayev, Deputy Dean for Youth Affairs, Spiritual and Educational Work and R. Jumaniyozov, the University's press secretary and head of the Academy of Oratory Arts.
R. Jumaniyozov spoke about the place Babur holds in the history of the Uzbek people. He emphasized that Babur is truly a great personality. His literary legacy as a historian, talented writer, and captivating poet is invaluable. Despite his duties as a ruler, Babur succeeded in writing significant works. His lyricism represents a unique form of literature, with the central theme of his poetry being the homeland and longing for it. The struggles for the throne, conflicts with his own relatives, the betrayal by people around him, the suffering from being unable to unite his homeland, and the sorrow of being away from his homeland until his final days are all vividly reflected in his poetry. A competitive game related to the works of the writer was then held, and the winners received copies of his authored books as gifts.
