Meeting with the Minister

Every period and every field has its own pressing issues and the response to these challenges is certain to come through science and knowledge. On January30, 2025 a significant event took place at our university, organized in the context of a meeting with the Minister of Water Management, Shavkat Rakhimovich Khamraev.
The meeting was opened with a welcoming speech by the rector of "TIIAME" National Research University, Professor Bakhodir Mirzaev, who then gave the floor to the minister. The minister shared his knowledge and experiences, expressing that it was also a great pleasure for him to have been teaching at our university. Additionally, he emphasized that students will play a key role in addressing employment issues.
During his presentation, the minister highlighted the importance of addressing water-related problems as part of the strategic tasks until 2030, providing examples to clarify his points. He responded clearly and succinctly to the students' questions. He pointed out that those who have studied abroad and boast of knowing several languages are not necessarily as beneficial to us as those who are deeply familiar with the water issues of our nation and people.
The most important and beneficial aspect of the event was the recognition and encouragement of talented students.
The "Regulation on the Formation and Use of Funds from the Water Management Development Fund of the Ministry of Water Management of the Republic of Uzbekistan," approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan in its decision N. 645 on October 7, 2024, includes in clause 5, paragraph 15, the provision for supporting students studying in higher education institutions, who have shown excellence in educational and scientific-innovative activities related to water management. As part of this, the "Minister of Water Management Scholarship" was announced for students of bachelor programs on in water management.
The event was attended by the Head of the Information Service of the Ministry of Water Management, Shukhrat Suyunov, the Head of the Staff Department, Khurshid Lapasov, and other responsible leaders. Several talented and creative students from our university were awarded with the "Minister of Water Management Scholarship" prize and certificates. We have compiled a list of students from our university and its branches, who were awarded with the "Minister of Water Management Scholarship," which we find appropriate to share.
