Freedom – A Great and Priceless Blessing

On January 27, 2025 the Embassy of the Republic of India in Uzbekistan held a grand event at the Hyatt Regency Tashkent hotel to mark the 76th anniversary of the Republic of India. The event was attended by ambassadors from all the embassies operating in the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as Adham Ilhamovich Ikramov, the Minister of Youth Policy and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Independence, freedom, and the ability to live without dependence on others are the greatest blessings. Not just a blessing, but one that is thought about every day, every hour, and for which gratitude is expressed at every moment—a priceless treasure that is cherished and preserved as dearly as one’s own eyesight.
During the celebration, in collaboration with the Ambassador of India to Uzbekistan, Smita Pant, there was a display of Uzbek national costumes, as well as a presentation of the beauty, colors, and elegance of Uzbek and Indian women’s attire, made from Atlas and Sari fabrics, using embroidery techniques and materials such as silk and pure cotton threads. The delicacy and beauty of the costumes worn by Uzbek and Indian women were particularly noted and admired by the participants.
