Efficiency of using mobile applications in irrigation networks
02.08.2024
It is important to suggest
that in the context of global climate change throughout the world, providing
water resources to sectors of the national economy is becoming more and more challenging.
The growing demand for water resources in the agricultural sector, especially
in dry regions require the improved water distribution and management. In these
circumstances, for effective management and equitable distribution of water
resources, it is important to use digital technologies, aimed at improving the
speed and accuracy of the measurement and monitoring process.
On July 31, 2024, the
teaching staff of “Hydrology and Hydrogeology” Department Associate Professor
D. Nazaraliev, Professor A. Fatkhulloev, assistant J. Khamrokulov gave lectures
at the School of Water Workers under the Ministry of Water Resources of the
Republic of Uzbekistan on the topic “Improving the use of water metering and
distribution devices in irrigation networks based on the use of information
technology.”
These lectures
provided instructions on how to control the speed and accuracy of the
measurement process in water metering and distribution devices in irrigation
networks using digital technologies, especially mobile applications. In
addition, appropriate recommendations were given for organizing the
uninterrupted and timely supply water to water consumers in established volumes
and special attention was paid to the widespread introduction of digital
technologies in the industry to increase the accuracy and speed of measurement
and observation work.
