There was given a start to the School of Young Scientists

There was created the School of Young
Scientists (SYS) in the framework of a joint- scientific program of Uzbekistan
and Germany, which began its work at “TIIAME” National Research University.
The
offered intensive program covers the issues of climate change and water
resource management. Based on prestigious institutions of Berlin such as
Humboldt University, GFZ Potsdam Geoscience Research Center, UFZ Leipzig
Environmental Research Center, “TIIAME” National Research University as well as
leading scientists from the German Geological Research Center and the Center
for Environmental Research are involved in training within SYS program.
At
the School of Young Scientists to young scientists, doctoral students and
researchers of “TIIAME” National Research University in Uzbekistan, based on
the MODSNOW program, the head of the laboratory of the German GFZ Potsdam
Geosciences Research Center for monitoring water resources in Uzbekistan,
forecasting water flow into ice sheets in the future and their modeling in
their basins, remote sensing groundwater resources. A. Gafurov and Dr. M.
Latinovich, head of the laboratory of the Leipzig Center for Environmental
Research UFZ Dr. S. Geier, professors P. Schuster and A. Georgiy from Humboldt
University in Berlin are conducting seminar- trainings.
The School of Young Scientists will continue
its work until August 1.
