A memorandum aimed at expanding cooperation in education and science has been signed between “TIIAME” National Research University and the University of Padua, one of Italy’s leading higher education institutions, ranked among the world’s top 200 universities.
The document provides for the development of scientific research between the two universities, the establishment of academic exchange programs for faculty members, researchers, students, and doctoral candidates, the implementation of joint research projects, and the development of international educational programs.
Priority areas of cooperation include the development of joint master’s degree programs, the advancement of joint doctoral programs, the organization of international seminars and academic events, and the exchange of scientific expertise.
During previous negotiations, the two universities also considered launching international educational programs for their students. These initiatives include organizing a four-week study module each year involving 15 Uzbek and 15 Italian students, as well as introducing dual-degree programs at the master’s and PhD levels.
This partnership will create new opportunities for advancing scientific research, establishing academic exchanges, and developing joint educational programs in such areas as water resource management, international water diplomacy, climate change adaptation, and sustainable agriculture.
