Another important step has been taken towards expanding the international research experience of young scientists at TIIAME National Research University and strengthening cooperation with leading international research institutions.
Shakhbozjon Mardiyev Husan ugli, an Assistant at the Department of Irrigation and Land Reclamation at TIIAME National Research University, is undertaking a short-term research internship lasting four weeks (one month) at the prestigious Kazan Federal University in the Russian Federation.
The internship focuses on the research area of “Modern Methods for Assessing Soil Degradation in Arid Regions.” The research is being conducted in accordance with an agreed programme in collaboration with the Department of Soil Science at Kazan Federal University. It addresses environmental challenges of significant global and regional importance.
As part of a specialised research programme developed by Kazan Federal University, the intern is actively participating in laboratory and field-based sessions focused on analysing soil samples to determine their composition and assess different types of soil degradation.
Upon completion of the internship, the aim is to gain knowledge of leading international practices in preserving soil fertility and combating soil degradation in arid regions.
