Uzbek Language Olympiad was held

In order to implement Resolution No. PQ-308 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated October 20, 2025, “On Additional Measures for the Further Development of the State Language,” and Order No. 321 of the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation dated August 3, 2026, as well as to increase the interest of international students studying at the university in the Uzbek language and national cultural values, support them in demonstrating their knowledge and academic potential, identify new talents, and provide them with comprehensive support, the university stage of the Republican Olympiad on Uzbek Language was held on October 5, 2026, at TIIAME National Research University.
Approximately 40 international students studying in various academic programs at the university participated in the Olympiad. Specially designed test tasks were prepared to assess the students’ lexical and grammatical knowledge of the Uzbek language. In addition to the written tests, participants took part in a question-and-answer session designed to assess their knowledge of Uzbek traditions and customs.
According to the final results, the following three students achieved the highest scores:
1st place — Khosiyat Yusupova
2nd place — Guli Khudayberganova
3rd place — Shikhnazar Ziyatov
The students who achieved these results qualified for the Republican stage of the Olympiad. The winners were also awarded special diplomas and commemorative gifts by the organizers.
