07.10.2026
On October 6, 2026 the General English Club was officially launched by the Department of English, Faculty of Economics, "TIIAME" National Research University. The club was established to provide students with opportunities to improve their practical English skills, develop their language competencies, and enhance their ability to communicate confidently and effectively in English.
The first session of the club was organized and conducted by Guzal Eshchanova, Associate Professor of the Department of English.
During the session, a range of modern teaching methods and approaches were employed, including Communicative Language Teaching, Pair Work, Dialogue Practice, Role Play, Question-and-Answer, Grammar in Context, and the Integrated Skills Approach.
Students worked in pairs and small groups, practiced creating and performing dialogues, engaging in question-and-answer activities, introducing themselves in English, and applying new vocabulary and grammatical structures in practical communication contexts. Through these activities, they developed their speaking, reading, listening, and other essential language skills.
This approach enabled students not only to acquire new vocabulary and grammatical structures but also to apply them in real-life communication situations. Particular attention was given to the integrated development of speaking, reading, listening, and other language skills.
As part of the General English Club, regular sessions will be conducted by several faculty members of the Department of English. The club aims to help students strengthen their English language knowledge, expand their vocabulary, apply grammatical knowledge in practice, and develop the confidence and fluency needed to communicate effectively in a foreign language.
